Description
SAIC is hiring a Cybersecurity Specialist Associate to join SAIC supporting the Air Force weather community on the Technology Application Development & Sustainment (TADS) contract. This position is hybrid remote with onsite work in Omaha, NE.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance required to maintain employment
  • US citizenship
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or Data Science and zero (0) years or more of experience
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, React, and Python
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools
Responsibilities
  • Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection, implement application and data migration techniques and tools for the most efficient and simple solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity and security requirements.
  • Work on a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduce them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.
  • Utilize tools in order to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities and intrusions of physical security and cybersecurity systems, processes, policies, etc.
  • Apply a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum military cyberspace operations.
  • Write reports specifying in technical detail how assessments were performed and what mitigating and remediating activities were performed.
  • Translates and/or authors technical documentation in a way which is easily understood, in layman’s terms, the work being performed and the outcome of the work being performed.
  • Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
  • Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
  • Contribute to completion of routine technical tasks.
  • Work closely with supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the group.
