SUMMARY:

The Cybersecurity Specialist will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s information systems, networks, and digital assets. This role is responsible for developing security policies, ensuring compliance, monitoring threats, and leading incident response efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and operational best practices, with the ability to translate security requirements into practical solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, governance, or risk management.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection).
  • Strong understanding of network, cloud, and application security principles.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

COMPUTER/SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

  • Broad experience with Microsoft software.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience with firewalls (Cisco Meraki, etc) and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Understanding of SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Familiarity with endpoint protection and EDR tools (CrowdStrike, Defender).
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD/Entra ID and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) deployment.
  • Familiarity with common SaaS tools used around security (Phising, DMARC/SPF/MX, Security Scorecard)
  • Experience in security incident response and implementing incident response playbooks.
  • Ability to support audit and compliance initiatives, with experience in security reporting (Power BI, Excel).
  • PowerShell or Python scripting for security task automation (preferred).
    Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 per year
