ROLE PURPOSE:

The Cyber Security Specialist is essential for protecting the organization’s information systems and data. This role focuses on identifying and mitigating security threats, improving defense protocols, and ensuring compliance with security standards to safeguard the organization from cyber risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Continuously monitor network and system performance to maintain security integrity.
• Detect, investigate, and address potential security threats in a timely manner.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Recommend and apply effective security enhancements based on assessment findings.
• Lead the organization’s response to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring effective management and resolution.
• Develop, maintain, and routinely update incident response plans and recovery procedures.
• Create and enforce security policies that protect the organization’s digital assets.
• Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 27032 to meet regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement security training and awareness programs tailored to all organizational levels.
• Regularly conduct security training sessions to enhance the security knowledge and practices of employees.
• Research and integrate new security technologies and controls to bolster the organization’s security framework.
• Stay abreast of the latest security trends and technology developments to continually refine security strategies.
