Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you’ll be responsible for overseeing our core security stack and ensuring our clients meet compliance and risk requirements. This role combines SOC/SIEM management, Microsoft 365/Azure security, MDR coordination (Huntress), and audit/compliance program leadership.
You’ll work closely with the leadership team and technical consultants to improve client security posture, respond to evolving threats, and support external compliance obligations (HIPAA, NIST, etc.).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage SOC and SIEM tools across client environments
  • Manage MDR operations , including incident review, escalation, and client response
  • Administer and monitor Microsoft 365 and Azure security:
  • Secure Score, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Defender for Endpoint
  • Alerts, logging, and policy enforcement
  • Lead compliance management programs (HIPAA, NIST CSF, CIS Controls)
  • Support and prepare clients for third-party audits or assessments
  • Help define and enforce security policies, SOPs, and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal IT consultants on best practices, secure deployments, and proactive improvements
  • Review security posture regularly and recommend improvements
