Description Cyberspace Exercise Planner Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Work Model: On-Site Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Cyberspace Exercise Planner to lead the design, coordination, and execution of cyber-focused training and certification events. The ideal candidate will have experience in joint targeting, cyber mission force operations, and strategic exercise planning across Combatant Commands. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the coordination of Cyberspace Planning and Exercise activities, both integrating and facilitating DoD and DLA Cyber exercise requirements Understand the Cyber Terrain and perform in-depth mission analysis for specified, implied, and essential tasks that Cyber supports Support exercise events in accordance with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) from the J6 and cyberspace perspective Develop and coordinates exercise training objectives, building the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), and entering MSELs into applicable databases for Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS), COCOM, DLA and other stakeholder exercises Assist in designing, planning, coordinating, and integrating cyber effects into exercises to achieve the command's training objectives Assist in observing and evaluating personnel readiness against the exercises training objectives Provides assessments and lessons learned input post exercise and assists in addressing any follow-up action items Provide communications, cyberspace and exercise planning support using the Government provided automated software tools, when applicable, and IAW the suspense assigned by the Government or through the Government staffing process Develop and implement cyber exercise scenarios and injects Coordinate with joint and interagency partners to align training objectives Conduct operational assessments and after-action reviews Support targeting nominations and mission package development Maintain lessons learned databases and performance metrics Requirements Minimum Requirements DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III Must have an active DOD Top Secret Clearance and be eligible for IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance Bachelor’s or higher in Cybersecurity, IT, or Military Science Work Experience Five (5) years’ relevant experience in IT/CS Experience with and understanding of DOD’s Cyber Terrain Familiarity with JPP, JTC, CMF, and USCYBERCOM doctrine Certifications such as Security+, CEH, PMP, or equivalent IAT Level III (CISSP, CASP+, CCNP Security, CEH or equivalent) Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Pay Range $85,000 – $105,000 annually Benefits Eligible employees may enroll in the available medical, dental, and vision coverage plans.
