Description Cyberspace Readiness and Joint Training Specialist Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Work Model: On-Site Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Cyberspace Readiness and Joint Training Specialist to support cyber operations and training initiatives across federal and defense environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity assessments, red team operations, and joint command coordination, with a strong background in developing and executing cyber readiness exercises. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist with Cyberspace readiness and joint training Support all phases of the Joint Training System to include analyzing mission requirements; developing training, objectives, and plans; executing, observing, evaluating training events and conducting ongoing readiness/assessments Evaluate the readiness reports to determine if they adequately provide sufficient information and help compile the data into meaningful readiness indicators Enable and solicit understanding of integrated Cyber and critical mission requirements during times of mission constraints Propose Cyberspace courses of action to mitigate risk, preferably, to pre-position the enterprise with acceptable risk mitigation and readiness before any exercise Assist in making recommendations to leadership and staff concerning updates/changes and assessment criteria Assist in preparing for joint training meetings Provide lessons learned and after-action reports, tracking integrated actions until closure and escalating to support integrated business risk governance Provide support using the Government provided automated software tools, when applicable, and IAW the suspense assigned by the Government or through the Government staffing process Plan and execute large-scale cyber exercises for combatant commands (COCOMs) Lead Cyber Red Team operations, readiness assessments, and penetration testing Develop training plans, after-action reports, and strategic documentation Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including DoD, NSA, and Joint Commands Provide mentorship and training coordination for cyber operators and analysts Support operational readiness inspections (e.g., CCORI) and certification efforts Requirements Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or Military Science Must have an active DOD Top Secret Clearance and be eligible for IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II IAT Level III (CASP+, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH) Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, PMP, or equivalent Work Experience Five (5) years’ relevant experience in IT/CS Experience with RMF, NIST 800-series, and DoD cyber frameworks Preferred Experience Military or federal cybersecurity operations Red Team leadership and joint training coordination Familiarity with CCMD, CTT, CVPA, and Cyber Flag exercises Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Pay Range $80,000 – $90,000 annually Benefits Eligible employees may enroll in the available medical, dental, and vision coverage plans.
