Work Shift Day (United States of America) Prepares and examines samples for evidence of pathological conditions, following established standards and practices. Receives specimens sent to the laboratory and plans the method of specimen processing. Assists physicians with fine needle aspirations. Reports/maintains patient test results in an accurate/timely manner. Stains, cover slips slides and microscopically examines specimens. Presents slides to Pathologist for examination. Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed. Maintains good relations with all staff and clients that use clients that use cytology services. Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Science related field and complete cytology program and 1 year or more of experience in cytotechnology to include experience on both GYN and NonGyn diagnostics.
