Job Description Performs regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, audio visual, HVAC, and other building systems Responds promptly to maintenance requests from guests or departments, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining guest privacy and minimal disruption Ensures all guest rooms, suites, public areas, and service areas are maintained in pristine condition in accordance with midscale hotel standards Conducts routine checks and maintains equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and elevators Carries out carpentry, painting, and minor construction or repair work as needed to maintain aesthetic quality and structural integrity Install, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ventilation systems Conduct regular inspections to ensure all kitchen appliances are working efficiently and safely Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues related to kitchen equipment Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of kitchen machinery Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all kitchen equipment operations Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to schedule maintenance without disrupting service Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance Qualifications Completion of a technical diploma or certificate in kitchen equipment maintenance, refrigeration, or a related field Practical experience in maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen appliances in 4 star hotels Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems related to kitchen equipment Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards in commercial kitchens Strong technical knowledge in at least three of the following: electrical, plumbing, Audio Visual, HVAC, mechanical systems, or general building maintenance Vocational training or certification in a relevant technical field is preferred Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance practices Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and system schematics Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset High level of discretion, reliability, and personal integrity Availability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs Physical ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity Well-groomed and have excellent teamwork skills
