JOB OVERVIEW

As a Dairy Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dairy department within our grocery store. Your responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, maintaining product quality, and supporting sales initiatives. You will work closely with team members to create an inviting shopping experience for our customers while promoting dairy products effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
• Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and cash handling is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for accurate pricing and transactions are required.
• Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within the department.

• Assist customers with inquiries and provide knowledgeable recommendations on dairy products.
• Maintain product displays through effective merchandising and stocking techniques to ensure freshness and visibility.
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new or featured items.
• Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of service.
• Implement upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the dairy department.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dairy section, including rotating stock as needed.
• Utilize strong communication skills to foster a positive team environment and enhance customer experiences.
