Competitive salary Two-bedroom accommodation provided Fixed term until mid Feb 2026 The Opportunity We’re looking for a Fixed Term Dairy Farm Assistant to join the high-performing team at Halls Dairy. In this role, you’ll assist with a range of farm tasks — from milking, calving, and feeding stock, to effluent management, spraying, and fencing. You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day operations and work closely with your team to help meet production and animal welfare goals. You’ll receive full training and support, and we’ll encourage you to take the initiative, develop your skills, and support newer team members along the way. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a great work ethic and a passion for farming. Enjoy being part of a culture that values safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. This is a fixed-term role until mid-February 2026. The Farm Halls Dairy is located just 20 minutes from Taupō and is part of Pāmu – a leader in sustainable, high-performing farming. Halls Dairy milks 680 cows across 266 hectares using a modern 54-bail rotary system and pride ourselves on safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. About You You’ll bring a willingness to learn, get stuck in, and contribute to the team’s success. Ideally, you’ll also have: Experience in a similar dairy farming role (or a strong interest in developing one) Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team A proactive attitude with initiative and commitment to animal welfare and health & safety The ability to coach and support junior or new staff where required A current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence Benefits We offer a competitive salary package, plus ongoing training and development.
