You’ll be part of a supportive team and working in a learning environment where you can grow your skill set and gain valuable experience. We are committed to our staff, our animals, and the environment. A typical day would include: · Milking cows through our 80-bail rotary · Spraying, and general farm work · Assisting with feeding calves during calving season We provide high quality PPE to our farm staff and have a robust health and safety regime. You’ll work with well-maintained, up to date farm equipment. You will work on a roster system of 6 days on and 2 days off. THE FARM Pinta Dairy Unit is Pāmu’s largest dairy farm, milking 2,200 dairy cows on 877ha through our 80-bail rotary dairy shed, which has been recently upgraded. The farm also uses Halter technology. This farm has a manager with an open, communicative style – taking care to explain the “why” around decisions so that the team has good context. It’s conveniently located just out of Taupō, with all the recreational activities the region has to offer at your doorstep; hunting, fishing, cycling and more. ABOUT YOU You’ll bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn and be able to work unsupervised.
