Competitive salary Halter technology on farm Fixed-term until the end of April Drive in/Drive out position - just out of Taupō THE OPPORTUNITY Join Pinta Dairy as a Dairy Farm Assistant, where you’ll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team and a genuine learning environment. You’ll build practical dairy farming skills, gain hands-on experience on Pāmu’s largest dairy farm, and be supported to grow your capability over time. You’ll be joining a farm led by a manager with an open and transparent leadership style, who takes the time to share the thinking behind decisions so everyone understands the bigger picture and can do their best work. Your work will be varied and hands-on, and may include: Milking cows through our modern 80-bail rotary shed Spraying and general farm duties Supporting calf rearing during calving season You’ll be provided with high-quality PPE and work within a strong health and safety culture, using well-maintained, up-to-date farm equipment. This role operates on a roster of 6 days on, 2 days off, helping you balance work with life outside the farm. This is a fixed-term position until the end of April 2026. There is no accommodation for this this position, it’s drive in/drive out. THE FARM Pinta Dairy Unit is Pāmu’s largest dairy operation, milking around 2,100 cows across 877 hectares. The farm is supported by an upgraded 80-bail rotary dairy shed and makes use of Halter technology to enable modern, efficient farm management. Located just outside Taupō, Pinta offers the rare combination of a large, progressive farming operation and an exceptional lifestyle - with hunting, fishing, cycling and the outdoors right on your doorstep.
