Competitive salary including health and life insurance Fixed term until the end of May 2026 Accommodation provided The Opportunity We’re looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to join the high-performing team at Renown Dairy. In this role, you’ll assist with a range of farm tasks — from milking, calving, and feeding stock, to effluent management, spraying, and fencing. You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day operations and work closely with your team to help meet production and animal welfare goals. You’ll receive full training and support, and we’ll encourage you to take the initiative, develop your skills, and support newer team members along the way. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a great work ethic and a passion for farming. Enjoy being part of a culture that values safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. This is a fixed-term role until the end of May 2026. The Farm Renown Dairy Unit is located between Taupō and Rotorua. 1450 cows are milked once a day through a 60-bail rotary shed that has a vast array of technology to help monitor & measure overall performance. The farm is set on 640 ha of varying terrain. About You You’ll bring a willingness to learn, get stuck in, and contribute to the team’s success. Ideally, you’ll also have: Experience in a similar dairy farming role (or a strong interest in developing one) Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team A proactive attitude with initiative and commitment to animal welfare and health & safety The ability to coach and support junior or new staff where required A current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence Benefits We offer a competitive salary package, including health and life insurance, enhanced parental leave benefits, and up to 4% KiwiSaver matching.
