You’ll assist with tasks from milking, calving, and feeding stock, to effluent management, spraying, and fencing, while learning the skills - including shed and animal health management, mating plans, and moving stock. This is a hands-on role for someone with a passion for farming, and a desire to grow their career in a collaborative, supportive environment. THE FARM Somervilles Dairy Unit is located just outside of Reefton. Somervilles is a progressive 500 ha property milking approximately 1,000 cows through a 60-bail rotary shed with ACR’s, MilkHub and an in-shed feeding system. ABOUT YOU You’re enthusiastic, hands-on, and ready to contribute to the team’s success. You’re eager to learn, develop your skills, and make a real impact on the farm. Responsibilities

The role involves assisting across all aspects of modern dairy farming, including milking, calving, feeding stock, effluent management, spraying, and fencing duties. The assistant will also gain skills in shed and animal health management, mating plans, and stock movement.
