Production Operator - Separator & Tanker Bay position Australian leading dairy company Attractive hourly rate + shift loading About The Role Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known worldwide for its quality dairy products. As the country’s largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, and our famous single-serve butter. We are pleased to offer a full-time permanent role in the Tanker Bay team. This role plays a vital part in receiving milk and cream to supply all departments ensuring all finished products meet our stringent quality standards in accordance with approved procedures and customer specifications. You will contribute to a Safety Always culture and help maintain the high standards expected across our operations. Responsibilities Safely receive milk tankers in accordance with site procedures and schedules; ensure correct connection, unloading, and transfer of milk into storage tanks; operate tanker bay and milk receiving equipment, including pumps, valves, hoses, and automated systems. Complete accurate documentation and electronic records for all tanker deliveries; identify and report equipment faults, safety hazards, quality issues, or non‑conformances; conduct milk intake testing and quality checks prior to unloading Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety in the tanker bay and receiving areas Follow all site safety procedures, traffic management plans, and isolation requirements. Respond to spills, incidents, or emergency situations in line with site procedures Work closely with tanker drivers, laboratory staff, production teams, and site leadership About you Previous dairy /food manufacturing experience Qualifications in Food Processing (desirable) A thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Hygiene, and Sanitation Standards applicable to dairy operations Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as Bega systems, including M3 (preferred) A safety mindset plus ability to work with or without supervision Bega Group Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
