Role Overview Surbana Jurong is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified professionals for the position of Dam Safety Specialist for a proposed assignment in Uzbekistan. The role will support dam safety assessment, analysis, and technical review for water infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct dam safety analysis, modelling, and technical assessments for irrigation and water infrastructure projects. Review and evaluate dam safety performance and risk conditions. Support design review and compliance with dam safety standards and guidelines. Prepare technical reports, safety assessments, and engineering documentation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on dam safety and hydraulic structures. Provide expert input on dam safety monitoring and risk mitigation measures. Utilize relevant engineering and modelling software for dam safety analysis. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Engineering, Hydro Technical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred). Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 10 years in dam safety analysis and engineering. Proven experience in at least three similar assignments of comparable nature and complexity. Experience on World Bank or similar MDB-funded projects is preferred. Strong knowledge of dam safety modelling and analysis tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
