Working outdoors on and around dams in the greater Auckland region. As a Dam Technician, you will be in a hands-on, operational role where your confidence in the outdoors and around water as well as your technical expertise will be a key prerequisite for your success. The key tasks of the role include: Operating and maintaining Headworks structures and infrastructure serviceability. Maintaining effective communication and supporting the operational management of the Headworks system Maintaining the hydrological network to meet required performance standards Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you In this role you will bring: An appropriate technical qualification A current NZ driver's license An appropriate tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science is desirable but not essential Experience in a similar environment with proven knowledge of safety in and around water (with the ability to swim 50m) Experience using computerised database systems Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team. Responsibilities
