The Dance Centre is a non-competition dance studio. TDC is a family friendly recreation dance studio. We are very focused on our dancers learning while also having a positive experience. We offer classes for dancers ages 3 thru adult.
Job Overview
We are seeking freelance ballet & lyrical Instructor for our 2025/2026 dance season (September 2025 - August 2026). Classes start in September of 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience working with younger students.
We are currently looking for instructors of the following classes:
Monday 3:30 - 4:30pm Kids Beginner Ballet Ages 6 - 10
Wednesday 4:30 - 5:30pm Kids Beginner Lyrical Ages 9 - 12
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dance lessons that cater to students’ skill levels and ages
- Instruct students on proper dance techniques, terminology, and choreography
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Collaborate with other instructors to create routines for performances
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during classes
Experience
The ideal candidate should have experience in the following areas:
- At least 1 year of dance instruction experience
- Educating students in dance techniques
- Previous Choreography Experience
- Teaching experience with children
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
