DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Dance Research Methods & Academic Paper Writing Lecturer to join our team.
In your role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive courses on dance research methods, cultivating students’ independent thinking and research skills in the field of dance. You will teach dance theory, research methods, literature critique, and related practical skills, helping students gain insights into the nature of dance art and its underlying theoretical frameworks.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Master’s degree or above in the field of dance research, with preference given to those with a doctoral degree.
  2. Rich knowledge of dance theory and research experience, familiar with dance research methods and academic writing standards.
  3. Familiarity with academic paper writing standards and requirements, with rich writing and teaching experience.
  4. Excellent teaching and communication skills, able to inspire students’ learning interests.
  5. Excellent oral expression and presentation skills, able to inspire students’ learning interests and participation enthusiasm.
  6. Patience and responsibility, caring about students’ learning and growth, able to be a mentor and friend. Enthusiastic about academic research and education, with a team spirit and innovative awareness.
  7. Team spirit, able to collaborate with colleagues to promote the development of dance education.
  8. Deep love and understanding of dance art, able to set a good example for students.

BONUS CRITERIA:

  1. Experience in article/journal publications.
  2. Priority given to those who have published papers related to dance therapy or dance science.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and teach courses on dance research methods and on academic paper writing, including Empirical Research Method, Qualitative Research Method, Quantitative Research Method, Literature Review, Case Study Method, Experimental Research Method, Action Research Method, Historical Research Method, practice-based Method but not limited to topic selection, literature review, paper structure, citation standards, etc.
  2. Inspire students’ interest in dance research and guide them in independent research projects.
  3. Provide academic guidance and support, assisting students in preparing academic works such as papers and research reports.
  4. Provide personalized writing guidance and feedback, helping students solve writing problems and improve the quality of their papers.
  5. Guide students in research and literature search, fostering their information retrieval and analysis abilities.
  6. Actively participate in school dance projects and activities, providing guidance and support to students.
  7. Collaborate with other faculty members to promote the teaching and research work of the college.
