JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves developing lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in teaching dance, with a focus on ballet preferred; experience in other styles is a plus.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for diverse learning needs.
  • Experience working with children or adults in an educational setting; early childhood education or preschool experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting positive behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with childhood development principles and special education practices is advantageous.
  • Additional skills such as photography, cooking, sewing, or theater can enhance the learning experience for students.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct dance classes, providing instruction in techniques, choreography, and performance skills.

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Organize recitals or performances to showcase student achievements.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of theater or culinary arts.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all participants during classes and activities.
  • Foster relationships with students and parents to encourage ongoing participation in dance programs.
