JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, specifically Acro/gymnastics as well and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students develop their dance skills while promoting creativity and self-expression.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in various dance styles such as street dance, Acro Dance, and Tech Work (Jazz and Ballet)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage lesson plans and class schedules effectively.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • A passion for dance and teaching, with a commitment to fostering student development.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for dance is key.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive dance lessons tailored to different skill levels and age groups.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Demonstrate proper dance techniques and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Organise and prepare students for performances, competitions, or showcases as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe studio environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition.
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance the overall dance programme.
  • Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques to continually improve teaching methods.
  • Must have a fully enhanced DBS, First Aid trained and Safeguarding. Potentially we can look into this for candidate if needed.
