JOB OVERVIEW

World of Dance is seeking two passionate and dedicated Dance Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of all ages.
Our studio offers a 25-week program that runs from October through April. The class are:
Pre-School program with Ballet, Jazz & Tap
Hip-Hop ONLY classes that encompass Acro, Hip-Hop tricks, stylization, and choreography.
Combo Classes for ages 7-16 that can range from one hour to two hours based on the age bracket. These classes are sectioned off to offer ballet as a warm-up, Jazz, Tap & some Hip-Hop.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in teaching dance, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Background in dance is a MUST
• Experience working with children in educational settings, with an emphasis on classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education strategies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with photography or videography for documenting student performances is a plus.

• Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach various dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, and other genres as needed.
• Plan and manage classroom dynamics
• Provide individualized instruction and feedback to enhance student performance and confidence.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all classes, ensuring proper equipment usage.
• Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of theater or culinary arts.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to support students’ emotional and social development.
