ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a DART Worker, you will assist the Children’s Court in identifying when a young person (client) has a disability and will enable the presiding judicial officer (as well as other stakeholders) to be better informed about any forms of disability the client may have.
You will build rapport and support the young person in completing required screening processes and provide further referrals of allied health services and community based supports where required. The position is contracted until June 2026.
This role is a partnership collaboration between Melbourne City Mission and the Victorian Aboriginal Legals Service.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who can/has:

• build rapport with young people and stakeholders quickly and effectively
• demonstrated experience in community services
• an understanding of systems within the criminal legal sector and NDIS
