Summary: The Commercial Class 3 Driver/Loader is responsible for operating various waste collection vehicles to pick up recycling, garbage, paper/cardboard, and organics from both residential and commercial customers. The role involves providing dependable customer service, safely transporting collected materials to transfer stations or disposal sites, and following established routes, schedules, and regulations. Responsibilities: As a Commercial Class 3 Driver/Loader, your duties will include but are not limited to: Ability to adhere to Miller Waste Systems safety protocols and must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule while following all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the DOT, Department of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working. Operating of a Rear Load Refuse Truck. The ability to push, pull, and lift heavy bins repetitively is required. Complete various waste stream collection from commercial and residential customers. Provide customers with reliable and high-quality customer service as the proper disposal of the waste streams are vital to the health and well-being of the residents of the community that you are servicing. Collect and transport the various waste streams to local transfer stations, compost facilities or landfill sites in an efficient and appropriate manner. Occasional weekend work is required, in order to assist residential contract needs. Competencies & Qualifications: Valid and clean Class 3 Driver’s Licence Must be a team player and proven safe working habits. Previous driving experience is a requirement. Excellent attendance record is a must. Good interpersonal skills along with written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility with your work schedule is a must, as start and end times may vary.
