POSITION SUMMARY

This role offers an exciting opportunity to create and implement the data access and acquisition strategy for Asia. The position will elevate the voice of Asia in R&D on data-related and innovation topics. Collaboration is key, as you will work with cross-functional teams centrally and regionally to ensure data solutions align with business needs. The initial focus will be on Japan and China. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, visionary, and passionate about leveraging data solutions to make a meaningful impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience creating and executing a data strategy.
  • Active membership and participation in external data associations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of advanced techniques, including AI/ML.
  • Hands-on experience with citizen technology tools (e.g., Power BI, PowerApps).
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, change management, project management methodologies, or design thinking.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Asia Development teams have seamless access to Asia data and the ability to acquire new data when needed.
  • Oversee data acquisition plans (e.g., eCRFs, edit checks) for Asia standalone studies in partnership with vendors and in compliance with company standards.
  • Partner with experts in Real World Data teams to ensure a robust and strategic set of data is available in Asia.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage advanced technologies, including AI/ML, to enhance capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver impactful data solutions.
