SHORT DESCRIPTION:

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join us as a Data Administrator This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in data management, IT or systems support, particularly within the charity or public service sector.
You’ll gain hands-on experience working with CRM systems, supporting data processes and maintaining our internal database. You don’t need a lot of experience — just a genuine interest in technology, data or IT and a willingness to learn. In return you will be mentored and managed by an accomplished Data Analyst who has successfully passed both Level 3 and Level 4 Apprenticeships and has a lot of knowledge to share with you.

Carers’ Resource exists to support unpaid carers. We are an award winning Yorkshire charity which provides information, advice and support to carers, to the people they care for and to professionals who work with them across Bradford and North Yorkshire.
A carer is anyone who looks after – unpaid – a family member, friend or neighbour who, due to disability, physical or mental health condition, illness, frailty, or addiction, cannot cope without their support.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Essential:

  • A keen interest in IT, data, computers, or technology
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Excel (e.g., filtering, sorting, simple formulas)
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • A logical thinker who displays initiative
  • A basic understanding of data protection principles

Desirable (but not required):

  • Any experience working with databases, CRM systems, or in a data-related role
  • Familiarity with SQL (even if not confident writing queries)
  • Experience volunteering or working in a charity or public-facing role

PERSONAL QUALITIES:

We are looking for someone who is punctual, has a high attention to detail and is passionate about the subject.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
