About Qualitas Qualitas is a leading ASX-listed Australian alternative real estate investment manager, specialising in real estate private credit and real estate private equity. About the position This is a newly created role within our Real Estate Private Equity team, managing $1.75 billion of equity across direct joint ventures, preferred equity, structured credit, and complex workouts. You will partner with broader team to deliver high-quality, AI-enabled analytical outputs, and help shape how the team uses technology over time. The role is execution-led (approximately 70% delivery, 30% designing and improving how we work), with direct exposure to live investment decisions from day one. Location: Melbourne Employment Type: Permanent Full-time Key responsibilities Build and maintain a broad range of analytical outputs, including dashboards, data pipelines, investor-facing analytics, and automated fund reporting. Apply AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, analysis, and reporting across investment and asset management workflows. Translate senior team briefs into well-scoped, well-built deliverables, managing multiple concurrent workstreams to tight deadlines. Identify and implement automation and workflow improvements, and partner with the Qualitas AI Team on firm-wide technology initiatives. Develop domain knowledge in real estate equity, preferred equity, and structured credit over time, with structured mentorship from Associates and senior investors. What you’ll bring to the role 2-3 years’ experience in a technical discipline such as software engineering, data analytics, data science, or quantitative research. Tertiary qualification in computer science, software engineering, data science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent. Finance and commerce backgrounds welcomed where paired with strong technical skills. Practical experience with AI tools and a critical perspective on their outputs, combined with working proficiency in version control and at least one of Python, SQL, JavaScript, or a BI platform. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a product mindset. No prior real estate or financial services experience required.
