Are you ready for a challenge that will keep you on the edge of the US military’s use of data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Do you have experience in the cross-section of military and data policy and governance? Imagine yourself working on a top-level, critical mission alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring a Policy and Governance Analyst with a passion for improving, documenting, and implementing data management processes.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Comfortably communicate with staff; collaborate with stakeholders to integrate policy considerations into project planning and execution
  • Update and maintain policy, governance, and legal documentation (i.e. manuals, directives, etc.)
  • Lead development and implementation of data and AI standards and procedures aligned with DoD requirements and industry best practices
  • Explain complex, technically difficult information in an easily understood manner to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Educate, mentor, and provide expert guidance on the interpretation and application of policy, governance, and legal requirements to ensure adherence to best practices and applicable standards
  • Capable of intuitively solving complex problems, working independently, and with minimal guidance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

Required Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on data or AI-related topics
  • Possess a strong data analytics or computer science background; experience with big-data and AI/ML concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Active DoD Secret-level security clearance

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior military experience supporting US INDOPACOM activities
  • Prior experience supporting a large team or Branch-level office
