REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis and business analysis within the financial Proven track record of managing data-driven projects and delivering impactful results.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at anytime in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Skillsets:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, database management, and data governance.
  • In-depth knowledge of asset management processes, including portfolio construction, performance measurement, and risk assessment.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,523 - $140,963.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analysis & Business Analyst in the New York metro. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis and business analyst skills, coupled with functional knowledge of asset management. This role will involve working closely with our asset management client to drive data-driven decision-making and support the strategic objectives.

  • Data Analysis:
  • Perform comprehensive data analysis to support asset management strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze market trends, investment performance, and risk metrics to inform portfolio management decisions.
  • Business Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business units to gather and document requirements for data-driven projects.
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvements within the asset management function.
  • Develop business cases and project plans to support new initiatives and enhancements.
  • Functional Knowledge of Asset Management:
  • Apply deep understanding of asset management principles, including portfolio management, investment strategies, and risk management.
  • Support the development and implementation of asset management tools and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Communicate complex data insights and analysis results to non-technical audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio managers, analysts, and IT teams.
