Vastuu Group is looking for

an experienced Data Analyst who will develop our analytics platform (dbt + Snowflake) and transform raw data into insights that drive business. This is not a pre-defined maintenance role, but an opportunity to shape how business data is modeled, quality assured, and brought to support decision-making - faster and smarter than ever.

Why is this role important?

Data and analytics are at the core of our sustainability services: they make responsible and compliant operations visible and manageable. The quality, consistency and reliability of data directly affect how well our customers and teams can make informed decisions. We are developing our analytics platform and advancing an AI-assisted development and analytics approach. Your task is to build this whole and produce advanced business analytics on top of it.

Opportunity to expand: the role includes the opportunity to grow in the direction of web and product analytics (Amplitude) and combine web and business analytics into one coherent entity – bringing Amplitude usage data and Snowflake/dbt business data into the same view, unifying metrics and linking behavior to business results. Web analytics expertise is not a prerequisite, but a significant plus.

The role's responsibilities include the following:

• You build and optimize data models in a layered architecture (dbt + Snowflake) with the help of artificial intelligence.
• You produce advanced business analytics: growth and customer metrics, cohorts, retention/churn, MRR/ARR, segmentation and predictive metrics – and translate them into clear recommendations.
• You work with business stakeholders: you transform business questions into measurable definitions and unify metrics (single source of truth) into a reliable entity.
• You build reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI) together with business units and tie metrics to business goals.
• You develop data quality and reliability: data tests, quality gates and monitoring keep published data in good condition. You optimize data retrieval, materializations and costs, and take care of data management and masking.
• You will utilize and develop AI-assisted workflows and analytics as part of data products, create and maintain clear conventions, and document models, metrics, and best practices for the team to use.
• If you wish and as your skills grow, you will expand your role to web analytics (Amplitude): you will participate in monitoring planning and ensuring data quality, and combine web and business analytics into one entity (usage → conversion → revenue → retention).

We hope from you

You have strong SQL skills and experience in analytical data modeling and business analytics. You master dbt (models, tests, documentation, macros) and cloud data warehouse, especially Snowflake. You use version control (Git) naturally as part of development and keep the code quality high.

You are able to derive insights from data, translate business goals into measurable metrics, and combine technical expertise with business understanding. You have already implemented AI tools to enhance your own work and have a vision for how artificial intelligence can be integrated into analytics and development work.

You take ownership of the data product from source to release, you maintain quality and you get things moving even when not everything is defined. You are a curious and creative developer who is excited by the opportunity to build something new and make work smarter. You thrive in a fast-paced growth company environment.

We consider it an advantage

Experience with web/product analytics and analytics tools (especially Amplitude or a similar usage analytics tool), event-based tracking design and data quality assurance, and the ability and interest to combine web and business analytics into a single entity.

Additionally, we consider experience in analytics implementation projects and change management, defining governance practices, facilitation and training skills, Snowflake performance and cost optimization, Python/Bash programming languages, AI-assisted analytics and prompt planning, CI/CD practices on a data platform, and an understanding of data visualization, BI tools (e.g. Power BI), and UX principles to be an advantage.
