Position Overview The Data Analyst Associate is an entry-level position responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support business decision-making. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, generating reports, and identifying trends or patterns in datasets. The Data Analyst Level 1 works under supervision and collaborates with team members to deliver actionable insights that align with organizational goals. Role and Responsibilities: Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to: Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau. Assist in maintaining databases and ensuring data integrity. Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Document processes, methodologies, and findings for future reference. Support ad hoc data requests and provide insights to stakeholders. Stay updated on data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices. Required Skills: Data collection, cleaning, and organization. Basic data analysis and trend identification. Report generation and dashboard creation. Database maintenance and data integrity assurance. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Documentation of processes and findings. Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques. Continuous learning and improvement in data-related skills. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 0-2 years of experience in data analysis or a related field OR equivalent total experience in related field Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting for long periods using computer keyboard, zoom conferencing, Microsoft teams, telephone etc. Regular standing and walking to file documents, make copies, meet with leaders / employees in other parts of the building etc. Keyboarding: Entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard (traditional keyboard refers to a panel of keys used as the primary input device on a computer, typographic machine, or 10-key numeric keypad) Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment Some work (less than 5%) may require moving and lifting of heavy objects Compensation: The pay range for this position in California is $65,000/year to $75,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
