BACKGROUND

Kyndryl Canada is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a leading Canadian bank in manually monitoring and investigating suspicious branch cash activities. This interim role bridges the gap between manual Excel-based reporting and a future automated solution. The successful candidate will play a key role in daily operational assurance, anomaly detection, and process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)
• Prior experience in branch banking operations (e.g., cash ordering, reconciliation)
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, including fraud detection or forensic accounting
• Experience in documenting business rules and process workflows
• Proven ability to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Familiarity with automation concepts and process optimization
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a hybrid environment

Daily tasks may include:

• Reviewing Excel-based reports to identify anomalies
• Conducting preliminary investigations using defined business rules
• Escalating confirmed issues to the Investigations team
• Recommending process improvements and documenting best practices
• Supporting monthly reporting and final engagement summary
