POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Analyst shall analyze all data entering, exiting, and within the Department of Commerce as needed.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Approximately 2 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably for a government entity.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, STATA, SAS, and other research software, along with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement with a high level of analytical skill.

• Identify and quantify data issues within the organization and assist in the development plans to resolve these issues.
• Responsible for data mapping and extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) activities as needed.
• In addition, support routine data management processes and ad hoc user requests, as well as perform testing activities as needed.
