The Opportunity Are you passionate about data, sustainability, and making a real impact? Join our dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) as a Data Analyst Co-op and contribute to our mission of driving decarbonization and innovation in district energy systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including operations and engineering—to help standardize our data fabric, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and build insightful dashboards and predictive models that inform decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Identify, extract, and transform data from various sources to uncover facts and trends in business, finance and operation KPIs – to answer, “what happened”, “what is happening” or “what is going to happen.” Design and develop tailored dashboards for various departments to visualize data effectively. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify relevant KPIs and data needs. Integrate operational data fabric with enterprise applications using APIs. Build Machine Learning models to forecast operational outcomes and support feedforward control strategies. Standardize and optimize existing data structure within the data fabric. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. Available for an 8-month term, with potential for extension. Knowledge of Financial Metrics and strong business acumen Experience with Financial Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) Software, specifically SAGE Intacct Experience with Power BI and working in Azure environments. Experience with OT/IT/DMZ network architectures. Exposure to machine learning concepts and tools. Skills and Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Quick learner with a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving. Strong aptitude for learning new systems and techniques. A resourceful, creative approach to problem solving. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
