Job Description LDC is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Research team under Coffee platform, Bangalore, who will be responsible for updating and maintaining the global S&D balance sheets and contribute towards effective business results. Extract Transform and Load datasets - Create pipelines for processing raw format data into clean Data Bases. Regularly updating and maintaining databases on - Detailed tradeflow data (export & import), time series data on Coffee prices, Production, Consumption, and Stocks data. Performing sanity check on databases and external sources to ensure global consistency of data. Creating automation tools using Python Scripts, which can help in making the task of updating data, swift and efficient. Create Analysis/dashboards/reports/alerts to accelerate the usage of data & model output within Coffee Research. Creating Monthly Coffee review reports detailing all the updates related to Production, Exports, Harvest pace, Selling pace, Blossom pace and weather. Preparation and circulation of news articles related to Coffee – to both internal and external group as per discussed format. Cost of Production study for Coffee and other competitive crops in major coffee growing origins, taking help from origin Agronomists. Preparation of business presentations considering the latest available updates and by including relevant analysis. Optimize usage of ‘MARS” (Balance sheet system) and provide business perspective to MARS developers for development and resolution of issues. Qualifications University degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Business Administration, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Statistics. Additional Information Around 2 -3 years of experience in analytical roles ideally within commodities. Prior exposure to soft commodities markets beneficial. Analytical skills with a focus on fundamentally founded statistical analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills. Good knowledge in Python, SQL, PowerBI and MS office.
