JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview: Our client is looking for a highly skilled and passionate Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in managing and protecting organizational data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and helping achieve data-related goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance and data management concepts and best practices, with experience in configuring and maintaining Microsoft Purview or similar products in large-scale enterprise environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in the IT industry, with 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Purview.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data management concepts and best practices.
• Experience with other industry-specific products like Collibra, Varonis, Atlan, Alation, Egnyte, and other data management/governance/security products is beneficial.
• Proven track record of managing and configuring Microsoft Purview in large-scale enterprise environments.
• In-depth understanding of data management principles, including data quality, data lineage, and data classification.
• Experience in information security governance, risk, and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and its suite of data tools.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases, and Data Fabric architecture.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex findings into a compelling narrative for non-technical stakeholders.
