POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a large Navy Program. This role will focus on developing and maintaining complex financial and modernization tracking tools, consolidating data from multiple engineering, procurement, and operational sources to drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will be an Excel power user with demonstrated experience in linking datasets, building advanced formulas, and developing dynamic dashboards to support fielding, budgeting, and procurement planning.
Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Security Clearance Required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting DoD or Navy readiness, systems engineering, logistics, or data analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Expert-level Excel skills, including but not limited to: Advanced formulas (e.g., INDEX/MATCH, nested IFs, array formulas), PivotTables, Pivot Charts, and data modeling, Complex workbook linking and dynamic dashboards, Data validation, error-checking, and automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition, budgeting cycles, and program planning.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in summarizing complex technical data and fleet feedback for senior audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the Material & Modernization (M&M) Tracker, integrating data from multiple sources into a unified and accurate analysis tool.
  • Perform data consolidation and trend analysis to provide insight into historical, current, and forecasted procurement and installation efforts.
  • Coordinate with Advance Planners to integrate planned procurement and fielding efforts into program forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Network Integration Engineering Facility (NIEF) to monitor inventory, hardware deliveries, and system swaps.
  • Partner with Contracts Team to align financial data with contractual delivery schedules and obligations.
  • Support APMs/PAPMs and leadership with timely and accurate responses to ad-hoc data calls, especially regarding installation timelines, hardware/software forecasts, and procurement costs.
  • Provide financial and schedule data to the BFM Office in support of: Budget submissions, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) justifications, Congressional reporting (briefs, RFIs, impact statements).
  • Monitor and report on deviations in cost, schedule, or performance; develop and present mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Contribute weekly updates to the WAN Weekly Report and WAN Dashboard to ensure program leadership has a clear, up-to-date view of progress and issues.
