Description

You will be tasked with assist in evaluating end-user business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and developing and implementing the appropriate technical solutions.


This role is based in Canberra and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a combination of working from the Atturra office and client sites as required.


Candidates must hold a minimum of Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance, as required to support current and future Federal Government projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements, translating customer needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Participate in and facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions, ensuring key outcomes and actions are documented.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyse current-state business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and assist in defining future-state processes.
  • Work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure business requirements are understood and appropriately translated into solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of relational databases, data structures and data migration concepts when analysing requirements and supporting solution delivery.
  • Work effectively within Agile/Scrum environments, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Develop and maintain project artefacts, including business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and workshop documentation.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios, validating requirements and assisting with the resolution of identified issues.
  • Identify requirements gaps, risks, dependencies and potential impacts, escalating and working with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Manage assigned Business Analysis activities and priorities across multiple project deliverables.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing, Business Analysis practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and develop professional and technical capability through ongoing training and continuous learning.

What will make you successful in this role?


Technical Requirements:


  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within technology, digital transformation or enterprise application environments.
  • Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements, including functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience participating in and facilitating requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners.
  • Experience working across the project delivery lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation and go-live.
  • Good understanding of business process analysis and improvement, including current-state and future-state process mapping.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments, collaborating with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, Architects and Test teams.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM / Customer Engagement (CE) projects will be highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the confidence to contribute to workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities and Business Analysis deliverables within a fast-paced project environment.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working with changing requirements, priorities and customer needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and team-focused approach.
