Description

We’re looking for a Data & Systems Analyst to join our Planning, Performance & Data team, supporting critical transport infrastructure across Transurban Northern Assets. This role is ideal for a graduate to mid-level analyst who enjoys working across data analytics, dashboards, systems, and low‑code automation—someone curious, analytical, and keen to grow their capability in a real-world operational environment. Key responsibilities * Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau * Analyse and curate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality * Investigate trends, patterns, and anomalies to support operational decision-making * Design and deliver low‑code automation solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps * Support system enhancements, integrations, and solution rollouts * Identify improvement and automation opportunities through data-led analysis * Engage with operational teams and external partners to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions What you’ll bring * A tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or similar * 2–3 years’ experience in a data, systems, or analytics role (or equivalent graduate experience) * Strong experience building dashboards in Power BI and/or Tableau * Experience working with structured datasets, databases, and data models * Exposure to Microsoft platforms and business systems (e.g. SharePoint, Maximo or similar) * Experience or interest in Power Automate and Power Apps * Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
