Job description

You are a data analyst and want to build more on the backend: stable data pipelines, smart models, and reliable platforms. In our 1.5-year program, you will grow step by step into the role of a fully-fledged Data Engineer. You will work on a project basis for a client, with room to choose your own path. Stay ahead of yourself: we help you move forward, in your own way. After 1.5 years, you can join the client's staff immediately after completing your training!

This is what you are going to do

  • You follow a learning path towards becoming a Data Engineer and apply it directly to your assignment.
  • You design and build data pipelines (batch and/or real-time) and set up ETL processes, so that you no longer experience frustration because you determine yourself how sustainable and robust it is built. You do this together with colleagues.
  • You will contribute to the design and construction of a data platform within a Microsoft Azure environment, bringing together and making accessible data from various sources. You will do this using the Medallion architecture.
  • You model data and deliver datasets that are ready for reporting and analysis.
  • You ensure quality with testing, monitoring, and clear documentation, for example via Microsoft Purview.
  • You coordinate with stakeholders; the content varies by client and project.

You are fit for the job if you...

  • you have at least 3 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or BI developer.
  • you have obtained a higher professional or university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, (Technical) Business Administration, (Applied) Mathematics, Econometrics or similar.
  • you have a solid foundation in Power BI and Python and/or SQL
  • Having gained experience with data modeling within a cloud (Microsoft Azure) environment is a plus.
  • Any experience with Azure Datafactory, Databricks/Spark, DBT, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Tests & Monitoring, and/or Git workflows or similar tools is a strong plus.
  • You commit yourself to a 1.5-year development program and are available for 36-40 hours per week.

This is what you get from us

We offer a gross monthly salary between €3,800 and €6,000 based on a 40-hour work week, commensurate with your experience and expertise.

Starting from your role as a data analyst, you will grow into a data engineer through assignments. We provide suitable assignments that enable this development step by step. The development program supports you in this and accelerates your growth into a fully-fledged data engineer. You will follow practical training courses in which you obtain recognized certifications related to the Azure stack, receive coaching from your performance manager, and be part of a group undergoing the same development. It is precisely by learning together and sharing experiences that you accelerate each other's growth.
