EP Wealth Advisors is embarking on its first enterprise data platform build, establishing a modern data environment powered by Snowflake. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping how data is managed, governed, and analyzed across the firm. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and an external Snowflake implementation provider to ensure that EP’s data is clean, reliable, and structured to support firmwide reporting and analytics. You will help define data standards, manage data quality processes, and deliver actionable insights that enhance decision-making across the business. Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 plus annual bonus Duties and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with IT and business teams to define and document data standards, naming conventions, and data quality rules. • Work with the Snowflake implementation partner to help define and validate master data structures, metadata, and key data domains. • Participate in the establishment of data stewardship processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. • Contribute to the design of a business glossary and data catalog to improve data transparency and discoverability. • Support data governance initiatives including data lineage, access control, and regulatory compliance documentation. • Monitor and validate data pipelines and Snowflake tables to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards or reports to highlight discrepancies and trends. • Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, or missing records and work with technical teams to address root causes. • Participate in regular data audits and assist in implementing remediation plans. • Recommend process improvements and automations to strengthen data quality controls. • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance drivers. • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to deliver insights to business leaders. • Partner with department stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Compliance, Client Service) to define metrics and KPIs. • Translate business questions into measurable analytics that support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. • Serve as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure analytical needs are aligned with data capabilities. • Work closely with the Snowflake implementation partner to validate and test data models and integration workflows. • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data structures support accurate reporting and analytics. • Document analytical processes, data sources, and key definitions for ongoing reference. • Stay informed on best practices in data governance, quality management, and business intelligence. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. • 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst, data management, or business intelligence role. • Experience working with or supporting enterprise data platforms (Snowflake experience preferred). • Proven track record in data quality management, data validation, or governance initiatives. • Strong SQL skills for data querying, validation, and transformation. • Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar). • Familiarity with cloud data environments such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. • Understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data concepts. • Experience working with data from CRM, portfolio management, or financial planning systems (e.g., Salesforce, Tamarac, Orion). • Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting. • Strong understanding of data management principles including data lineage, data stewardship, and quality control. • Knowledge of wealth management or financial services data is a plus. • Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations. • Analytical Thinking: Able to interpret complex datasets and uncover meaningful insights. • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy, consistency, and reliability in data handling. • Communication: Capable of explaining data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. • Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and external implementation partners. • Ownership: Takes initiative to improve data quality, governance, and reporting processes.
