Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Program Officer, Performance and Evaluation, the Data Analyst will design and carry out data analyses based on concepts developed collaboratively with the Data, Research and Evaluation Specialist under the leadership of the Senior Program Officer, Performance and Evaluation. The ideal candidate will be analytically focused, highly organized with a keen eye for detail, as well as personable and driven by a passionate interest to for children and families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Duties and Responsibilities Always exhibits and models strong core ethics, integrity, and accountability consistent with FamilyAid's mission, vision, and values. Aligns and leads self toward achieving FamilyAid's mission, vision, values, strategic plan, and annual operational and financial plans. Based on an identified need and an evaluation concept developed collaboratively with the Data, Research and Evaluation Specialist under the leadership of the Senior Program Officer, Performance and Evaluation, suggest the best statistical method to carry out the evaluation project. Pull the necessary data sets from HMIS and other data sources, improve its statistical value in collaboration with staff entering such data, and apply the statistical methods to analyze it. Collaborate with members of the department as well as program and agency leadership in formalizing conclusions from the analysis. Produce and ready for publishing visualizations of the data analyses. Communicate professionally by email and telephone both internally and externally, as with vendors and in response to those reaching out to the organization. Provide administrative support as part of daily program operations of the Program Evaluation Team. Participate in weekly supervision and professional development as determined in annual performance evaluations. Undertake other responsibilities as requested by the Senior Program Officer, Evaluation and Performance, Chief Operating Officer, or President. Supports directors of programs in systems, process, and other needs. Works cooperatively with representatives of all FA departments. Creates an environment of customer service that promotes accessibility to ask questions, receive guidance, or address issues with data. Provides work coverage in case of absences of team members. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in the field of statistics (required), and mathematics or computer science (preferred) Experience in applying statistical methods to interpret data sets 2+ years professional experience working in data analysis Superior analytical and data management skills Experience in statistical applications (R, STATA etc.) strongly desired Demonstrated ability to establish warm relationships with a wide variety of people Extremely organized and detail oriented Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines Ability to work both independently and part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Flexibility and compassion essential Proven ability to manage competing priorities in fast paced setting Supervision: Vice President, Evaluation and Performance, President Work Schedule and Conditions: This position is currently hybrid. FamilyAid’s headquarters is located at 3815 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02130. Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, with the flexibility to best meet client and program needs.
