The Opportunity
General Bank of Canada is looking for a permanent, fulltime Data Analyst to join as a key contributor with the Bank’s Data, Technology & Innovation team. Consistent with the growth trajectory of the Bank, this is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to contribute to building the Bank of the future with considerable potential for learning, growth, and advancement.
Reporting to the Director, Data Engineering & Advanced Analytics, Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and transforming data into meaningful insights that drive informed decision-making. This role will develop and maintain analytical models, dashboards, build data extraction and transformation logic, and reports to ensure accuracy and relevance in business processes. The Data Analyst will take a hands-on approach to data extraction, validation, and visualization, leveraging SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Python to support analytical needs across the organization. Additionally, the role will contribute to data quality and governance efforts, collaborating with data engineers, architects, and business colleagues to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting and analytics.
