DATA ANALYST – Tribe Payments – Brussels – GJA scale 16 Your role & work environment As a Data Analyst at ING you will play a crucial role in the data-driven culture by supporting our products and services in Tribe Payments. You will be responsible to support the decision making process by delivering valuable insights to both your colleagues and our clients. For this position you will join as a Data Analyst the Tribe Payments Here you will be part of an Agile environment by being a member of a multidisciplinary team of 8 to 9 professionals. The Payments Tribe is composed of 4 domain areas: Payments, Cards, Merchant Solutions and a digital domain. Your key responsibilities Translating the business needs into an analytical request: Hereby you will be discussing and challenging the needs and requirements with your stakeholders. While thinking along you already think a step further in terms of a feasibility analysis, setting realistic timelines, and cross-checking the data needs and availabilities. Based on this, you define a suitable approach and solution that fits the needs. These you communicate in a clear and transparent way to your stakeholders. Go over to the execution phase, this by applying some advanced analytical skills, capabilities and techniques, some examples are: Getting to know all the data available, the different tools to query, visualize and analyse this data Executing an in-depth analysis on our customer database to come up with answers to some specific questions or needs from the business Create integrated views on our datamart, in order to make data exploitation easy and efficient. Defining the most relevant offers for our customers based on insights from our datamart Define the needs to improves data availability and quality Create some advances ad-hoc reporting for specific needs, using tools like Cognos Perform some recurrent analysis and reporting Automate existing processes as much as possible, to reduce any redundant task. Creating target groups for outbound customer communication; thinking about the right selection criteria, channels, offers, and A/B tests Be part of a project or project team and help them delivering based upon the data After the analytical quest you communicate your insights and recommendations in an appropriate way to the stakeholders: This by applying the right visualization techniques. Adapting your storyline and message to the needs and context of your stakeholders. Communicating clear and on a convincing way your recommendations and next steps; while keeping aspects of GDPR, data sensitivity and confidentiality into account.
