JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, proficiency in various analytical tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid / Pentagon
Telework: To be determined – Travel CONUS/OCONUS
Education requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1-3+ years of experience consisting of a combination of:
o Have familiarization and a working knowledge of Marine Corps’ functions of logistics at the Strategic, Operational and Tactical level.
o Professional experience in data management, analytics, and business intelligence, with demonstrated expertise in managing large datasets.
o Experience working with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and Data Integration from multiple sources.
o Experience with Big Data technologies cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and enterprise analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
o Experience working in an agile project management environment and collaborating cross-functionally with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams.
o Proficiency in Data Management Tools and other data processing languages.
o Strong understanding and experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
o Expertise in data security and compliance.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
o Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including data engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.
o Proven track record of providing consultative support to stakeholders in formulating data requirements and translating them into actionable analytics solutions.
o Ability to work with large, unstructured data sets and apply appropriate methodologies to extract valuable insights.
o Ability to tailor data management strategies and analytics solutions to meet industry standards.
o Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and their application in analytics projects.
o Ability to support and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
