ARE YOU READY FOR YOUR NEXT CAREER CHALLENGE?

Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled mission-driven Data Analyst to support APOLLO/OPIAS. The Data Analyst will support mission operations by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights as part of Operations in the Information Environment (OIE). Unlike data engineers who build pipelines and infrastructure, or data scientists who develop models and advanced analytics, the data analyst focuses on extracting trends, generating reports, and translating raw data into decision-ready products. This position is on a future contract pending award announcement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Science, Political Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience performing data analysis in support of military operations, influence planning, or intelligence activities
  • Proficient in SQL and Excel; working knowledge of Python, R, or similar scripting tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
  • Strong understanding of data validation, normalization, and metadata tagging in support of operational reporting
  • Willing to travel within the supported Combatant Command’s area of responsibility
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in data analytics or a related field
  • Experience supporting a Combatant Command or Joint Task Force within a J39, J2, or J3 staff
  • Experience analyzing data related to social media behavior, message resonance, PSYOP product distribution, audience targeting, or narrative effectiveness
  • Experience contributing to IO campaign assessments or synchronization meetings
  • Experience briefing senior officers (O-5 and above) and developing executive-level summaries in PowerPoint or equivalent
  • Experience using statistical packages such as IBM SPSS, STATA, or R
  • Demonstrated ability to develop or track MOEs and MOPs aligned to operational objectives
  • Understanding of IRCs (MISO, MILDEC, OPSEC, Cyber, PA) and how data supports their planning and assessment
  • Familiarity with OSINT/WebOps platforms such as Babel Street, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Echosec, or CrowdTangle.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS or QGIS for geospatial analysis.
  • Exposure to machine learning, natural language processing, or other AI-enabled analytic techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct data analysis to support OIE planning and assessment, including Measures of Effectiveness (MOE), Measures of Performance (MOP), and campaign impact evaluations.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear visuals, dashboards, and narrative reports for planners, leadership, and assessment teams.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and engagement patterns across cyber, social media, public affairs, and influence operations datasets.
  • Collaborate with MISO, Cyber, MILDEC, OPSEC, and Public Affairs teams to ensure data integration supports cross-IRC planning and decision support.
  • Support real-time and post-operation analysis of influence campaigns and adversary activity within the information environment.
  • Query and manipulate data from mission systems, OSINT platforms, and enterprise databases (e.g., social media metrics, cyber logs, product engagement stats).
  • Ensure data quality and consistency, provide recommendations for improved collection or visualization, and assist with standardizing assessment metrics.
  • Identify and gain authority to leverage required data to support mission needs.
  • Provide data visualization and quantitative analysis; manage and optimize existing databases and associated dashboards.
  • Brief senior leadership and operational planning staff on findings, trends, and campaign impacts derived from multi-source data.
  • Leverage online analytic toolkits to support social media scrapes and trend analysis.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with social scientists, ORSAs, and data scientists to refine research design and integrate qualitative insights into quantitative findings
