Responsibilities:

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A DATA ANALYST:

  • Collecting data from various sources, which may include databases, spreadsheets, surveys, and more. Ensuring the data is accurate, complete, and relevant to the analysis.
  • Applying statistical and analytical methods to interpret data, discover trends, and extract meaningful insights. This may include using tools like Excel, or specialised data analysis software.
  • Creating visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, to effectively communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders. Visualisation helps in understanding complex data patterns.
  • Summarising and presenting analysis results in a clear and understandable manner through reports. These reports may include recommendations for business actions based on the data.
  • Using analytical skills to identify and solve business challenges. Data analysts often work on addressing specific questions or problems posed by the organisation.
  • Creating project status reports for senior management.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS FOR A DATA ANALYST:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Data Analyst
  • Strong analytic and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations.
  • Demonstrable track record in Data Analysis; identifying requirements and documenting these using the appropriate types of tools and documentation.
  • End to end experience from project launch to ongoing operation of data, analytics, and reporting projects
  • Excellent capability in the use of Excel with ability to understand and create automated dashboards, graphs, and tables.
