KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Issue Resolution & Escalation: Ensure proactive resolution of issues impactingcritical data projects and escalate when necessary.
  • Domain Expertise & Continuous Learning: Develop expertise in relevant datadomains and foster continuous learning within the team.
  • Service Monitoring & Data Insights: Use tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, andPowerBI to develop dashboards for monitoring service metrics and providingactionable insights.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Leverage SQL, Python, and R to identify automationopportunities and enhance efficiency in support and maintenance.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee the creation and upkeep of accurate,up-to-date documentation for processes, systems, and team structures.
  • Project Prioritization & Promotion: Assist in prioritizing data projects forcontrolled promotion from QA to production.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Contribute to the implementation of robustbackup and disaster recovery practices.
  • Environment Health Checks: Support regular health checks on QA andproduction environments to ensure system stability and reliability.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with using Alteryx is essential.
  • Proven experience of delivering high quality, unit tested software in a timely manner.
  • Experience of delivering software within a commercial environment.
  • Practical experience of applying appropriate design patterns and principles
  • FX and Financial knowledge – desirable
  • Exposure to financial systems - desirable

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Data Engineering e.g. Alteryx
  • Data Visualisation e.g. Tableau, PowerBI
  • SQL, Python, R coding skills
