Description JOB SUMMARY Gunton Corporation, the largest independent distributor of Pella Windows & Doors in the country, is an innovative leader in our industry. The Power BI focused Data Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data from multiple sources into accurate, reliable, and well-structured data models that support business reporting. They design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI using SQL and Power Query to surface key performance indicators and actionable insights. The role works closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, answer ad hoc questions, and translate analytical findings into clear recommendations. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate business insights Translate complex business requirements into data models, visuals, and KPIs within Power BI Connect, import, and transform data from multiple sources using Power Query, SQL, Excel, and cloud data sources Build and optimize data models using best practices for performance, scalability, and usability Write and maintain DAX measures and calculated columns to support advanced analytics and reporting needs Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through data validation and quality checks Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations Develop standardized reports and templates to promote consistent metrics and definitions across the organization Monitor and improve report performance, including refresh times and model optimization Support ad hoc data analysis requests and respond to evolving business questions Train and support end users on how to interpret dashboards and use Power BI effectively MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience using Power Query or SQL for preparing, connecting, and transforming data Experience using Power BI for data visualization PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS College degree Gunton Corporation is pleased to be an equal employment employer.
