MicroHealth is seeking a Data Analyst/Programmer II to support our Software Development Services team. This position will provide software engineering and development expertise, along with developer and architect capabilities to perform system development life cycle (SDLC) tasks in the development and support of applications and systems. The successful candidate will serve as a developer in the data analysis group supporting multiple Microsoft technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Participate as an active member of the scrum team, providing input to team velocity and sprint ceremonies, planning, demonstrations and retrospectives
• Design and code high quality deliverables adhering to standards and design principles
• Produce quality and timely deliverables
• Derive insight and understanding from large data sets through data visualization
• Build informative reports/dashboards, application of statistical methods, and deep investigation
• Support root cause analysis and resolution for complex issues regarding performance, scaling, and custom configuration
• Apply advanced knowledge in using data visualization effectively to tell a story and drive action by presenting information
• Define and design KPI-based dashboards/reports that summarize customer insights and highlight “hot spots” for customers
• Work with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to define back-end requirements for data products (aggregations, materialized views, tables – visualization)
• Conduct data investigation to discover correlations/trends and explain findings
• Utilize SQL programming skills with understanding of database capabilities

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree and 10 years of professional experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 16 years of professional experience
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI
• Knowledge in SQL programming skills with understanding of database capabilities
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
• Understanding of statistical methods and their application
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
• Must be able to acquire a Public Trust security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Additional certifications in data analysis or business intelligence

Salary:

• $97,000 - $102,000
